I know you're super busy and don't have time to keep up with new course creation tools & updates, so I thought I'd share the ones I found recently.
(Full transparency: I'm an affiliate of Thinkific and Coach because I use them both. If you click on their links below and purchase a plan, Zen Courses will earn a small commission. Thanks for your support.)
Camtasia has come a loong way since I last used it. With version 9 they offer one version for both Mac and Windows (they used to short change Mac users).
Even better? It's got the ability to add quizzes, interactive hotspots, green screen, and more. I'm planning to move all of my course video production to Camtasia.
While looking for a workaround to add quizzes to videos, I stumbled on Vizia. It's a cool tool for adding polls, quizzes, and calls to action to your videos.
The nice thing is you can use Vizia for your courses (quizzes) and your marketing vids (calls to action). Oh, and it's made by the folks at Teachable! Check it out.
Not every platform will allow you to embed multimedia like Camtasia or Vizia. Thinkific does. And all you need is a link to the video. How cool is that?
Speaking of course platforms, the team over at Coach recently announced their new ConvertKit integration, with Zapier following closely behind. More updates are on the way, but I've been sworn to secrecy. 😏
If you're not up on Coach, you're missing out. Click here to learn more.
About 6 months ago Pathwright launched version 2.0 of their platform. Unlike other course platforms, Pathwright is built by educators, so learning features are a top priority.
It's the only platform that focuses on learning paths. With 2.0 they've made everything laser focused on teaching so you know exactly where your students are.
Whew! So those are a few tools to help you create your courses.
I'm scaling back on talking about tools so I can focus on helping you create your content--but I'll still share updates like this from time to time to keep you in the loop.
